Inward Investment Manager

Melanie connects businesses looking to relocate or expand to areas of support and works with foreign and UK investors, landowners, and business and district directors, to stimulate strategic economic growth in Hertfordshire. Melanie is the first point of contact for all inward investment enquiries connecting business to areas of support and our team of sector specialists.

Business Support Services Manager

Tim oversees the delivery of Hertfordshire Economic Partnership business support services, including Hertfordshire Growth Hub, which works to accelerate the growth of local SMEs, and Visit Herts, the county’s destination management service. Tim works closely with local partners to ensure Hertfordshire’s business support programmes are effectively connected, as well as partners within the wider South East cluster, in order to maximise opportunities for collaboration.

Creative Sector Lead

Adam oversees the development and delivery of the Film and TV and Digital Sector/Cluster Action Plans and supports the industry-led Film and TV Panel. He provides a mix of strategic business advice and signposting to the creative sector on sector-specific and general business issues. His role also involves developing and supporting on legislation, skills development and employment opportunities.

Hertfordshire Film Office Manager

Pippa leads the set-up and delivery of the Hertfordshire Film Office - a one-stop-shop service for film and TV-related activities across the county. Pippa works closely with Creative UK, local authorities in Hertfordshire and other key intermediaries such as Production Guild - together with production companies, location managers, and studios - to support the development of the industry locally and maximise opportunities for growth.

Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing Sector Lead

Paul works to support the growth and development of Hertfordshire’s internationally renowned life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors, to ensure existing and future growth opportunities are fully maximised and to help drive local job creation.

Enterprise Zone Manager

Adam manages the growth and development of Hertfordshire Innovation Quarter, the county's enterprise zone. He works with partners to secure investment and deliver infrastructure that will unlock strategically located development sites with the potential to deliver thousands of new jobs in the area.

Clean Growth Manager

Helen’s role is to stimulate Clean Growth in Hertfordshire by supporting the growth of the Low Carbon Environment Goods and Services (LCEGS) sector/cluster and encouraging new businesses to the region. Working with partners, Helen is accelerating green skills development, attracting green inward investment and enabling the transformation of Hertfordshire businesses to meet Net Zero challenges.

  • Hertfordshire Film Office

    Hertfordshire Film Office (HFO) provides a seamless, one-stop source of support for productions looking to film in the county. It offers a location matching service, the organisation of highway filming permits and expert traffic management, access to local crew and facilities, production advice and guidance and much more. HFO also aims to maximise the potential of Hertfordshire’s rapidly growing creative and screen industry. It works closely with Creative UK, Hertfordshire County Council and local district and borough councils to raise awareness of the economic benefits and jobs that the growth of the industry can bring such as skills development, business support and screen tourism.

  • Hertfordshire Growth Hub

    Hertfordshire Growth Hub is the entry point to all business support advice, information and resources in the county. Since 2015, it has helped over 17,000 businesses achieve their goals and its team of knowledgeable business advisers are on hand to provide tailored support. As the trusted growth experts, the Growth Hub joins up national and local business support and offers free and impartial advice, one-to-one and peer-to-peer business support as well as events, specialist programmes, resources and access to funding.

  • Visit Herts

    Visit Herts is the official tourism service for Hertfordshire, working with attractions, accommodation and destinations across the county to promote Hertfordshire to local, national and international visitors. Visit Herts (part of destination management specialists Go To Places Ltd) works in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, as well as the county’s district councils, transport providers and tourism businesses.

  • Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP)

    HOP provides a one-stop-shop for talent within the county, enabling employers to reach and recruit their future workforce, and upskill and provide progression opportunities for existing staff. It allows training providers to showcase their services and development opportunities, and provides insights to help them tailor their local offer to meet current and future business needs.
